What I'm Building in 2026

After years building payment and marketplace platforms with engineering teams, my work in 2026 has three strands: a legal AI product, a consultancy for client-owned systems, and a Porto concierge. Each has a different audience and operating model; the common ground is building software that remains useful after launch.

illuma.law: evidence and matter workflow

illuma.law is the legal AI product I founded. I am building the platform around evidence intake, document processing, and matter workflows, with traceability that lets a reviewer return to the source. My work spans Python agents, document classification, and the API layer. The product is at illuma.law.

luminous-giant.com: systems clients can operate

I operate luminous-giant.com with my business partner Nico. We build web applications, infrastructure, and AI integrations for teams that need access to their code and the ability to run the result. Delivery includes the operational work around a release, not only the implementation. The consultancy is at luminous-giant.com.

portoforyou.com: a local concierge

I also co-founded portoforyou.com with Isadora Proença. It coordinates private stays in Porto, including accommodation, transfers, dining, and experiences, with one team accountable from enquiry through the return journey.

These are separate businesses, not one product suite. I write about the engineering choices behind them here, including the cases where a workflow, a handoff, or a constraint changed the design.
