Client-Owned AI Systems · Miguel Enes
Why luminous-giant.com ships AI your team can run: your infrastructure, your data, monitored agents, and no platform lock-in.
A client-owned AI system runs within infrastructure and data boundaries the client controls, with code and operational knowledge the client can maintain. That ownership depends on practical choices: where the system runs, how data moves, who holds credentials, and what documentation accompanies handover.
I am Miguel Enes, founder of luminous-giant.com. I build web applications, infrastructure, and AI integrations for clients, with delivery choices shaped by their operating constraints. The sections below describe the ownership practices and examples present in my work record.
What "client-owned" means in practice
Ownership is not a license file. It is four concrete properties:
- Your infrastructure. Systems run where you decide — your cloud account, your servers — built with Laravel, Rust, and Python services your team can deploy.
- Your data boundary. LLM integrations connect to your data with explicit contracts for what leaves and what stays, instead of a vendor's opaque retention policy.
- Runbook-level documentation. Monitoring, deployment processes, and the reasoning behind design choices, so month-eight changes are routine maintenance rather than archaeology.
- Portable interfaces. Prefer documented interfaces and components the client team can operate. Handover and continued operation depend on the selected services, credentials, contracts, and maintenance plan.
Evidence from building both ways
- Through luminous-giant.com, I build and maintain backend services for Portuguese clients using Laravel and Rust, and develop Python integrations that connect large language models to client data for extraction and automation — on the client's stack.
- As CTO of Of Them All, I architected AI agent systems (Gemini, Prism, Vizra ADK) and an FFmpeg audio mixing engine. The available record does not provide a verified comparable processing-time measure or consistent model release; the audio article documents the technical flow without those claims.
- I maintain the tooling this approach depends on in public: ollama-router proxies one Ollama URL across a mixed CPU/GPU fleet, and healthcheck-ai adds AI-provider failover and health checks for Laravel apps.
The full venture record is in the luminous-giant.com dossier, and the model is described in how luminous-giant.com ships client-owned systems.
Who this is for
- Media and enterprise clients whose publishing and content workflows must keep running regardless of any single vendor's roadmap.
- Engineering leaders tired of AI demos that die in handover — you want systems your team can debug at 2 a.m.
- Founders in regulated or data-sensitive domains, where "our processor retains everything" is not an acceptable answer.
Work with me
A client-owned build starts with your constraints: where the system must run, what data it may touch, and who maintains it after launch. Then the design follows the constraints — not the other way around.
